It works like a charm.

Here is my 2 cents hint:
To get rid of the nasty hard coded array access to retreive Section & Composite from view's children on your 5th point code example, I placed the custom element editor in the corresponding group view from the EEF component model. This way, the detail widget implementation user code is placed in the createXXXGroup method and you have directly access to the Section & Composite local variables.

Cheers,
Gonzague.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08312567850008597395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1706439134994847071.post-65652606002353822242010-07-26T17:33:30.996-07:002010-07-26T17:33:30.996-07:00Hi,

The hard part was not the nested views, but the master detail connection. The information you need doesn't really exist in the EEF model -- or didn't at the time this was written. That said, there may very well be much more efficient ways of doing this that I overlooked.

cheers,

MilesMiles Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12479459431322054983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1706439134994847071.post-26179965481214065452010-07-26T06:21:49.075-07:002010-07-26T06:21:49.075-07:00Hi, the result is pretty cool. (I don't speak from experience, I just read it's possible to nest views).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1706439134994847071.post-8381578296848742862010-02-26T01:13:58.307-08:002010-02-26T01:13:58.307-08:00Miles,
